Family visits!

We've had the pleasure of plenty of family and friends visiting the last few weeks. Agnes and her kids at the start of the month, Arnold & Marella and their kids for Easter, new grandparents Susan and Bill and new uncle Jamie, and cousins Anita and Sarah all came to meet the new member of the family.

I should be getting some rest, but I need to stay on top of all the photos!

Friends, Food, and Facetime

Kerry, John, and daughter Riley are visiting from Seattle. It's amazing to see Riley already 3 years old! Add take-out Italian and Saint Cupcake for desert and you have some very happy diners.

I tried capturing a bunch of facial expressions, but alas, all Roman wanted to offer was "Dad, get the camera away..."

Welcome Roman Alejandrino Maxfield

We are proud to announce the arrival of Roman Alejandrino Maxfield, born March 17th, 2009 at 10:45 am!

He is an impressive 8 lbs 11 oz (3940 grams), and 21.5 in long (55 cm). This first week has been quite the learning curve, but we're enjoying every moment.

We'll have tons of pictures and some movies soon; in the meantime, have a look at Andrea's Picasa album

39 weeks and ready!

I seriously thought by now I would have had the baby, but here I am at thirty nine and a half weeks and still pregnant. To say I'm ready is a gross understatement. I am so so ready to meet the little guy, hold him in my arms and finally see what this mommy business is all about. Everyone tells me to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet now, but I am starting to get a little, dare I say it, bored. All the major chores have been done to prepare for baby's arrival, the nursery is ridiculously organized, the baby showers have been thrown, I've done my pre-baby pampering with friends and got a pedicure last weekend, I've read through tons of baby books, and taken the pre-baby classes...I am ready. Bring him on...I know, I know, I may be eating these words in a few weeks, please don't remind me.

Here are the most recent pictures of the belly at 39 weeks, yup I'm bigger.

How not to tell family if you're in labor...

No news yet. Just found this old commercial hilarious.
